Chapter nine still feels thin. The crossing needs the flood to mean something, see Story map and the notes in River floods, 1926.

02Hand over

Give every job its own agent

An agent with one job does it well. Each one has its own instructions, memory, tools, schedule and budget, and it gets better at your work the longer it does it. Build as many as your work needs.

  • Describe a job in plain words and the assistant sets the agent up
  • Agents hand work to each other, and the assistant picks who does what
  • Bring the skills you already use: the open Agent Skills format works as is

The Friday report writes itself

Put an agent on a schedule, hand it a one-off task, or give it a whole project with a budget. Your tasks and theirs share one board, so you always see what is moving.

  • Runs every morning, every Monday, or the moment a page changes
  • Works through long projects over as many sessions as they take
  • Stops when its budget is spent, and shows what every job cost

Artifacts and canvases

Some documents you read, some you draw on, and some run. Your agents can make all three.

Small apps, built from your notes

Ask for a manuscript tracker, a budget calculator, a launch checklist or a status board. An agent builds it as an artifact: a working page you can click around in, which reads your notes and updates when they change.

An infinite canvas your agents can work on

Every workspace has an infinite whiteboard. Draw a story, a plan or a system, and an agent reads the drawing, adds what it found beside your boxes and links it to your pages. Canvases are searchable, and you can embed one in any page.

Common questions

Is this a chatbot bolted onto a notes app?

No. The agents have jobs, schedules and memory, and they work inside your knowledge base whether or not a chat is open. You can still ask them anything, and they answer from your own pages.

Do I have to be technical to build an agent?

No. An agent is a name, a role and a brief written the way you would brief a person. You can also describe the job to the built-in assistant and it drafts the agent for you to approve.

What stops an agent from making a mess?

Every change an agent makes is kept in the page history, so anything can be put back. You choose which folders and tools each agent may use, and a budget stops it when the money is spent.

What happens to my notes if I stop using Nevermind?

Nothing. They are markdown files in a folder on your disk. Any editor opens them, and nothing needs exporting.

Can I use it with my team?

Soon. Organisations bring shared workspaces, roles and folder-level sharing, and Nevermind Cloud keeps everyone in sync. Both are coming with launch.

What does it cost?

Nevermind is free for personal use. Today the agents run on your own AI key. Nevermind AI, which needs no key, and plans for teams are coming with launch.

Does anything leave my computer?

Your pages stay on your disk. When an agent works, the text it needs goes to the AI provider you chose. The app sends anonymous crash and usage reports that never include your pages or anything you type, and you can switch them off in Settings.
